A Non-Denominational Christ-Centered Church
Beliefs
Osceola Christian Church is committed to serving God and others. Using proven and tested principles of God's word, we offer practical applications for leading a joyous, abundant and peaceful life.
Wherever you may be on your spiritual path, at OCC you will find a supportive community with a wealth of opportunities for personal growth.
We aspire to strengthen each person's confidence and joy in Jesus Christ--at every point in their life, and encourage personal and spiritual growth through prayer, Bible study and active service in our church and community.
Membership
Membership means active participation; it means jumping into ministry at OCC. It's not a list of names on a church directory so people can say I'm a member at OCC. Moreover, it's a collection of people working hard to create an experience where individuals can meet Jesus Christ. We have a wonderful membership process, but we don't push it or require it. We do however push and require active involvement for those who want to call OCC home. We've made active involvement a team effort, centered on things which are objective and measurable; it's what we call our 4G's:
Growth
OCC exists "so that people far from God will be filled with life in Christ." When someone wants to become a part of the church it means that they will seek out and develop relationships with people who need a relationship with Jesus Christ. OCC will partner with you by creating engaging worship experiences where the gospel message is preached with compassion and conviction.
Groups
An essential element of OCC is engaging in community with others. If you want to be a part of OCC, you will be a part of a small group of 10-14 people who meet regularly for Accountability, Belonging, and Caring.
Giving
Jesus said: "Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
(Matthew 6:21) We ask those who call OCC their home to invest at least 10% of their income into God's work at OCC. Strategic Generosity is one of our core values, and we desire for the power of God to bring peace, abundance and purpose to your family and the entire community.
Gifts
Every person is given gifts to be used for God's glory and OCC will provide an opportunity for those gifts to be developed through service. Every person is vital to the overall experience our people will have when we are together and are more likely to better understand the person of Jesus Christ. The sermon starts in the parking lot as most people will determine if they will come back within the first 8 minutes of their visit. The roles of teaching children about Jesus Christ, setting up early in the morning and parking cars are just as important as the role of the pastor. Without the selfless servants of OCC, what we do would not be possible.
